How Spray Foam Insulation Houma Works
Spray Foam Insulation Houma insulates and air seals homes, camps, shops and metal buildings across Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, blow cellulose and fiberglass into attics and closed walls, and remove insulation that is wet, moldy, pest-damaged or ruined by storms.
Every job starts with a visit. We look in the attic, under the house or in the crawl space, and at any room or building you have trouble with. We measure what is there and check its condition. In this climate, we pay close attention to moisture: roof and plumbing leaks, standing water under raised floors, wet framing and mold signs. We also look for termite activity and wiring problems that insulation should never hide.
Then we explain what we would do and why. Foam is not right for every surface. For an attic floor without ducts, sealing the leaks and blowing loose fill usually costs less and works well. Under raised floors, on roof decks with attic ducts, in open walls during repairs and on metal buildings, foam usually earns its price. If two approaches would work, we price both.
How we work
- Look first. No price until we have seen and measured the space.
- Write it down. Each area on the quote lists material, depth, target R-value and price.
- Moisture before insulation. Leaks and wet framing get found and flagged first.
- Termite-aware. We leave inspection gaps where foam meets piers and foundation walls.
- Honest about programs. If an Entergy program might apply, we show you where to start. We never promise money a program has not approved.
- Agree before changes. Work starts when you approve the quote, and any change is agreed in writing.
